Download Downpipe

64-bit. The installer puts Downpipe in your user account; the MSI suits managed installs.

The installers are not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may ask once. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

One disk image for Apple silicon and Intel. Open it and drag Downpipe into Applications.

The app is not notarized yet, so the first start is refused. Open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway next to the message about Downpipe.

x86-64 packages. Install the .deb with sudo apt install ./Downpipe_0.5.2_amd64.deb, the .rpm with sudo dnf install ./Downpipe-0.5.2-1.x86_64.rpm, or make the AppImage executable and run it.

GNOME shows the tray icon only with the AppIndicator extension, which Ubuntu turns on.

Adds Download with Downpipe to links, catches the downloads your browser starts, and finds the videos a page plays. It talks to the app on your computer, so install the app first.

Chrome and Edge: unzip it, open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and pick the folder.

Firefox 128 or newer: open about:debugging, This Firefox, Load Temporary Add-on, and pick manifest.json inside the unzipped folder. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it closes.
